What is Pay-Per-Click advertising?

Pay-Per-Click (PPC) and Cost-Per-Click (CPC) advertising, also know as Sponsored Search, allows businesses and individuals to bid for the most visible spots on search engine results page using an auction-style format.

"conversion" is the result of a visitor completing the action that you desire from your website.   It could be the filling out a sign up form, joining your newsletter, buying a product or picking up the phone and calling in an order.   Conversions can be tracked right on Google and Yahoo Search Marketing (formerly Overture) or on analytic tracking software, to help determine the return on your advertising investment.
